Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Rollster uses cookies and similar technologies on rollsterapp.com and the organizer dashboard. It's a short one, because Rollster's cookie use is deliberately minimal.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. Among other things, they let a site keep you logged in, remember preferences, and recognize your browser on later visits.

2. Cookies Rollster uses

Strictly necessary. Rollster sets one session cookie when you log in to the organizer dashboard. It's what keeps you logged in as you move between pages, and it's required for the dashboard to work — there's no way to opt out of it short of not logging in. It's deleted when your session ends or you log out.

Preferences, analytics, advertising. Rollster doesn't currently set any preference, analytics, or advertising cookies — we don't run Google Analytics, a pixel, or any similar tool. If that changes, we'll update this policy first and add a consent mechanism before any non-essential cookie is set.

3. Third-party cookies

A couple of flows briefly leave Rollster's own domain, and the third party involved may set its own cookies while you're there:

Rollster doesn't control these cookies, and they're not set on pages we serve directly.

4. How long cookies last

The Rollster session cookie is a session cookie — it's removed when you close your browser or log out, whichever comes first. Third-party cookies described in Section 3 follow whatever duration that provider sets, outside our control.

5. Managing cookies

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Doing so for Rollster's session cookie will log you out and prevent logging back in, since the dashboard depends on it to function. We don't currently offer a cookie-preferences banner because we don't set any cookie that would require one — if that changes, one will be added here.

6. Changes to this policy

If the cookies Rollster sets change — for example, if we add analytics in the future — we'll update the effective date above and the content of this page before the change takes effect.
